Coleslaw makes a great side dish—cabbage is low in calories and high in fiber.
In addition to its cancer-fighting ability, cabbage lowers “bad” LDL cholesterol, is a good source of fiber, and is high in vitamin C and vitamin K. It also provides you with calcium, potassium, vitamin A, vitamin B6, manganese and folate. It is also high in glutamine, an amino acid with anti-inflammatory properties. In addition to all these health benefits, cabbage is also low in calories, at only 50 calories per cup.
Here is the Recipe:
Ingredients
1 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 1⁄2 teaspoons celery seed
1 teaspoon granular sugar substitute
1 small (1- to 1 1⁄2-pound) head green cabbage, shredded (TK cups)
1 small (1- to 1 1⁄2-pound) head red cabbage, shredded (TK cups)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
Whisk together mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, celery seed, and sugar substitute.Add cabbage and toss to combine. Season to taste with salt and pepper and refrigerate until ready to serve.
PORK RINDS
WHY YOU THINK THEY’RE BAD: These puffy snacks are literally cut from pigskin. Then they’re deep-fried.
WHY THEY’RE NOT: A 1-ounce serving contains zero carbohydrates, 17 grams (g) of protein, and 9 g fat. That’s nine times the protein and less fat than you’ll find in a serving of carb-packed potato chips. Even better, 43 percent of a pork rind’s fat is unsaturated, and most of that is oleic acid—the same healthy fat found in olive oil. Another 13 percent of its fat content is stearic acid, a type of saturated fat that’s considered harmless, because it doesn’t raise cholesterol levels.
